November: "The Management of Grief" screens at the Dallas
Video Festival.


2007
August: Sai leaves Brushfire Films to go to Boxx Jockey.

October: Sai proposes to Amanda on a jetty at Newport Beach, OR.

December: Sai runs his first half marathon in two hours. An hour after running a half marathon, principal photography is shot for "The Management of Grief."


2006
January: Sai and Johnny Rutledge begin work writing the full length feature "Joy Lies." Sound + Picture goes off to a packed house at the Magnolia Lounge in Fair Park.

April: Sai and Johnny finish the first draft of "Joy Lies."

September: Sai begins work on "The Genesis of Healing," a long format TV show for the Veria Network.

October: Sound + Picture offers another show, this time to benefit Israeli and Palestinian families affected by the war.


2005
April: "Separated By Light" screens and wins 'Best Short Film' at the Crossroads Film Festival in Jackson, MS.

June: "Separated By Light" screens in Hollywood, CA as part of the Texas Filmmaker Showcase.

July: Sai goes to India on a religious pilgrimage.

September: Sai buys his first house in Oak Cliff (The real O.C.), thus becoming a "cliff dweller."

December: Sai starts the art collective Sound + Picture (a performance art/media collective) to raise money for a brain aneurysm survivor.


2004
May: Sai is awarded Texas Commission for the Arts film grant.

June: "Separated By Light" is shot with TCA grant money.

July: "Separated By Light" is broadcast on PBS.

October: "Separated By Light" screen and wins 'Best Short Film' at the Deep Ellum Film Festival.

November: "Separated By Light" screens in Cardiff, Wales at the Cardiff Screen Festival
.
December: "Separated By Light" screens in Pakistan at the Kara Film Festival.


2003
September: Sai is selected to be apart of the Southside Artist in Residency program.


2002
March: "Blood + Oil" screens at SXSW.

November: Principal Photography is shot for "Last Free Exit."
